Lyra / Zeztra – live gallery and review from 3Olympia Dublin 04.12.2025

Opening the night, Dublin sister duo Zeztra (Avril and Lorna Meade) proved the perfect warmup. Fresh from their recent Karma EP release, their set was defined by the kind of “blood harmonies” only siblings can truly master. Bathed in moody lighting, they delivered a polished, intimate sound that balanced vulnerability with a surprising command of the large stage. They effortlessly converted early punters into firm fans, setting a warm, atmospheric tone for the evening.

Then came the storm. The stage setup transformed, setting a dramatic tone as Lyra emerged, a vision in warrior-queen sequins. Her performance effortlessly balanced high-fashion visuals, including dynamic lighting changes and smoke effects that framed her silhouette, with raw, undeniable vocal power.

The setlist was a high-octane journey through her catalog, seamlessly blending pounding, dance-floor anthems with more reflective, emotionally resonant tracks that demonstrated her versatility. She had the entire audience in the palm of her hand, transitioning from explosive energy to moments of hushed intensity.

Between the musical intensity, her trademark chatty, self-deprecating Cork personality shone through, cracking jokes and sharing heartfelt anecdotes that immediately grounded the spectacle with warmth and humor. This genuine connection with her Irish crowd was palpable, turning the 3Olympia from a grand venue into an intimate, shared space. The night built meticulously to a final, breathtaking cinematic crescendo, solidifying the feeling that this was more than just a gig, it was a statement, reminding everyone that behind the elaborate stage production lies a truly world-class vocalist commanding her space.
