Suave rock craftsman Matt-Felix is back today with a fierce new anthem,’Seconds To Love’. Clocking in at 2 minutes and 30 seconds, the track is short, sharp, and a stone-cold banger – heavier, bolder, and more profound than we have seen Matt-Felix before. This bullet-sized new outing pushes Matt-Felix into stratospheric new heights as one of the UK’s most exciting new-gen rock powerhouses.
He will also be closing out a standout year with his final headline show of 2025 at the Shacklewell Arms on December 11th – final tickets HERE.
‘Seconds To Love’ is built on driving drums, gritty guitars, and razor-tight production. The song hits with concise precision – no filler, just pure impact. It speaks of the frustration and struggle that come with chasing your dreams. Reflecting on the writing and recording process, Matt-Felix reveals it was as quick-fire as the track itself, “I wrote it all on the piano one morning and demoed it the same day. The structure and production is pretty much all the same from that first burst of inspiration. I went in with Josh Tyrell and recorded it; he also mixed it. We got Rob Hall to play drums, and there you go!”
Closing the year with the stellar new release, Matt-Felix offers a glimpse of the sonic world he’ll be stepping into in 2026, while continuing to elevate his dynamic ability to produce rousing, moody, crooning rock that could neatly fit beside the likes of Nick Cave, Bob Dylan and Arctic Monkeys in your record collection. Previous singles, ‘Wounded Little Soul’, ‘Cold With Desire’, and ‘Change’, which feature on his sophomore EP Dark Enough To See, showcase his captivating blend of classic yet contemporary alt-rock, cementing his place on the main stage.
Matt-Felix’s eclectic and left-field songwriting style, combined with a confident and versatile vocal, is truly understood in a live setting; his charismatic stage presence and cinematic sound create a full-throttle musical experience. Consistently commanding the unwavering attention of a crowd, Matt-Felix proves magnificent musicianship from studio to stage and has become a hot topic on the London live circuit.
After completing an extensive festival circuit in Europe, he has also supported Razorlight and Balancing Act, as well as Sunday (1994) and Picture Parlour on their recent UK headline tours. Picture Parlour raved, saying – “One of the best live performers and such an infectious soul both on and off stage. It’s been an honour to play shows with Matt and his band on this run – until next time!”. He now ramps up for his own headline show at The Shacklewell Arms on December 11th.
