Dublin outfit New Enemy – drop their first single  “303” taken from upcoming debut EP, you can read our review here

Dublin based alternative rock band New Enemy return with “303,” a single that channels frustration, self-respect, and emotional clarity into a punchy, cathartic release. Framed as an elegy for messy situations and burned bridges, the track leans into the uncomfortable reality of outgrowing people and the strength it takes to walk away, even from those once considered close.

“303” doesn’t romanticise conflict, instead, it confronts it head on. The song captures the exhaustion of small-town drama, where gossip lingers and loyalty is often conditional. Its central message is clear, knowing your worth sometimes means choosing distance over familiarity. There’s a sharp honesty in the writing that feels personal yet widely relatable, transforming resentment into empowerment rather than bitterness.

Frontwoman Ashley’s raspy rock vocal is the emotional anchor of the track and you might find yourself at times thinking is that Amy Montgomery of PREYRS . Her delivery moves effortlessly between restrained vulnerability and explosive defiance, adding grit and authenticity to every line. The texture of her voice elevates the song’s emotional stakes, giving weight to lyrics that might otherwise feel purely confrontational. Instead, they land as earned and reflective.

New Enemy blend alternative rock foundations with clear nods to nu-metal and emo influences. Driving guitars, tight rhythms, and dynamic shifts create a sense of momentum that mirrors the emotional release at the song’s core. The production balances heaviness with clarity, allowing both the aggression and introspection to coexist.

Ultimately, “303” is a defiant breakup letter to toxicity in all its forms a bold, unapologetic reminder that self-respect sometimes begins with saying goodbye.

”303” comes in at a 7 out of 10

Rating: 7 out of 10.
