Ticketmaster – Partners with Tilt to Support Grassroots Irish Music and Announce Upcoming October Showcase

Ticketmaster is proud to announce a new partnership with Tilt, Dublin’s longest-running ‘full band’ music showcase event. Through this collaboration, Ticketmaster will provide both promotional and financial support, enabling Tilt to continue its mission to champion Irish music and provide essential training opportunities.

This initiative underscores Ticketmaster’s commitment to supporting Ireland’s grassroots music scene – from musicians to sound engineers – and to foster the next generation of live event talent.

Spearheaded by John Barker and produced by Steve Caffrey and The Sound Training College, Tilt has become a cornerstone of the Dublin music scene since its inception in 2019 – listing Sprints, Gurriers, Tebi Rex andTolü Makay amongst a list of over 100 acts that have performed. The showcase provides a vital platform for emerging Irish talent while offering invaluable hands-on training for students pursuing careers in live music production.

Tilt #35, the first showcase of the season, will take place on Wednesday, October 22, at The Button Factory. This free event will feature three incredible acts: Telekura, known for fusing acid-soaked electronica with technicolor psych-pop; Vaticanjail, the new diva of electronic music and sonic magical realism; and Nuxsense, a seven-piece hip-hop collective from Dublin City.

Keith English, Managing Director, Ticketmaster Ireland, said:

Partnering with Tilt on this brilliant Irish music showcase was a complete no-brainer for us, as we understand first-hand how important backing grassroots talent is to the industry. This showcase offers a priceless opportunity for emerging musical talent and engineers to hone their skills, upskilling the industry in a live environment. Backing grassroots talent is central to our mission at Ticketmaster, and this partnership with Tilt is another example of that commitment. I urge everyone to grab a free ticket on Ticketmaster and head to a show.”

John Barker, Tilt Curator said:

When we started hosting Tilt live events in 2019 my goal was to create a regular platform where acts were given the opportunity to showcase their music in a beautiful venue with a hardworking crew assisting them. I’m a huge music fan & promoter of local Irish acts and it’s been a joy to see so many past Tilt-acts develop their careers and continue to produce great music. Each night at a live Tilt event is special with each act creating their own memories through their music and performance. To be in a position where we can help these acts grow and develop their careers is a privilege. The support we get from Ticketmaster is essential for us to pay our artists and help make the showcase event even better.

Admission to Tilt #35 is free, with doors opening at 7:30 PM. This is an over 18s event. Free tickets can be reserved at Ticketmaster.ie/Tiltand on the Universe platform.

The events will also be featured on Ticketmaster Local – a dedicated guide for highlighting grassroots venues and Irish artists.
