Heaven Shall Burn / The Black Dahlia Murder / Frozen Soul – Heimat Over Europe 2026 tour live gallery and review from The Academy Dublin 24.02.2026

German extreme metal titans Heaven Shall Burn brought unrelenting intensity to the stage of The Academy Dublin on their Heimat Over Europe 2026 tour, delivering a night that felt like a calculated sonic assault to the senses. With a stacked lineup featuring Frozen Soul and The Black Dahlia Murder, the evening celebrated the full spectrum of modern death and extreme metal.

Opening the show, Fort Worth’s Frozen Soul wasted no time setting a punishing tone. Across their 30-minute set, the Texas outfit delivered hulking riffs and cavernous growls that rolled through the venue like a slow moving storm. Their old-school inspired death metal sound locked the crowd into a steady groove, heads banging in unison as the band churned through crushing breakdowns and frostbitten atmospheres. It was a short but potent opening statement that primed the audience perfectly.

The Black Dahlia Murder followed with a tightly executed 35 minute barrage of melodic ferocity. Blending razor sharp riffing with blistering speed, their set injected a shot of adrenaline into the room. The intricate guitar work soared above relentless drumming, while the vocals cut through with venomous precision. Their performance struck a balance between melody and brutality, keeping the energy levels surging and the pit in constant motion.

When Heaven Shall Burn finally took the stage, the atmosphere shifted from anticipation to explosion. Opening with “War Is the Father of All,” they immediately unleashed a wall of sound that engulfed the crowd. What followed was an hour and ten minutes of controlled chaos. Tracks like “Counterweight,” “The Martyrs’ Blood,” and “Tirpitz” landed with seismic force, each riff and breakdown met with deafening roars from the floor.

A standout moment came with their rendition of “Black Tears” by Edge of Sanity, a nod to melodic death metal heritage that resonated deeply with longtime fans. Closing their 12 song set with “Thoughts and Prayers,” Heaven Shall Burn ended the night on a defiant, emotionally charged high, a reminder of why they remain one of Europe’s most formidable live acts.
