ASH have shared the video for Fun People (feat. Graham Coxon) filmed live at the London Scala in
advance of the release of their forthcoming Ad Astra album on 3 October via Fierce Panda Records.
Speaking about the album and the video, Ash say:
“Hurtling down the runway as we take off into the sunset – that’s probably the perfect metaphor for
where we are right now. Or at least, it’s the closest we can get to blasting into space as we prepare to
release our ninth LP. And we’ve released another visual extravaganza in the shape of Fun People featuring
Graham Coxon, filmed at the Scala. We still haven’t quite recovered from the buzz of those shows.
“In less than a week, Ad Astra will have hit the racks of your fave record store. It’s been a bonkers week of
TV appearances, pre-order signings, interviews and visa appointments and the pre-release energy is off
the charts. We’ll have a few days to gather ourselves then it’s lift off and we have one helluva release
week in store. Or should we say OUT store? From Brighton to Edinburgh and all points between, we’ll be
rocking out with full electric performances all week. Most of them are sold out and much the same can be
said for the tour later in the year, which is racking up more sold out banners every week.
“We’ve also managed to get our hands on physical copies which look absolutely gorgeous, and we’re
trying not to spend our last few days at home staring at the zoetrope spinning on our turntables. But,
damn, it looks great!”
