Wrex, have just announced their biggest ever headline tour for September andOctober!

Rising Brighton-based duo, WREX, have just announced their biggest ever headline tour for September and October! The band will kick things off at Underground Alt in Blackpool on 24th September, and make their way around cities including Stockport, London where they play New Cross Inn, Birmingham, Frome, Sheffield, Leeds and Glasgow. WREX will then make their way to Europe for their first ever run of headline shows there!

WREX hit the ground running this year, and have played a whole host of live shows and festivals already. They have recently been added to the Bloodstock Festival lineup, and will also play festivals Burn It Down, Loud Women and more. This is no mean feat for a completely independent band! All dates and details can be found below, and tickets are on sale now here. The alt/rockers have been busy cutting their teeth on the live circuit since their inception, and spent 2025 headlining venues up and down the UK, as well as supporting the likes of The Hunna and Hacktivist, and playing festivals such as The Great Escape in their hometown of Brighton.

The tour announcement arrives hot on the heels of their long-awaited EP, SADWORLD, which features 5 rip- roaring tracks exploring some pretty dark themes. These include uncertainty, anxiety and self-doubt, but glimmers of hopefulness and optimism are threaded throughout.

Reflecting on their journey, vocalist Mae shares, “The last year has been about getting out there and pushing ourselves – playing as much as we can, meeting people, and feeling that connection in real time. We’ve played 54 shows over the last year, and that’s completely changed our perspective. This project started with two people and a laptop, so being in those rooms night after night has forced us out of our own heads, stripped something back, and let the songs take on a different weight once they’re shared with other people. This EP is about taking our personal experiences and opening them up in a way that other people can identify with. Our prior writing was very focused on the self; SADWORLD is more of a reflection on the impact of the world in its current state, and on the
community”.

WREX are comprised of friends Mae Seaton (vocals) and George Donoghue (co-vocals and guitar), who formed in 2020 in Brighton after a chance encounter years after meeting on a night out. Their debut EP, This Hell Goes A Long Way Down, arrived in 2024 and spans themes such as isolation and disconnection brought
