Ukrainian metalcore unit SPACE OF VARIATIONS reveals a brand-new song and digital single “LIES”, an emotionally driven track that starts out calm with a beautifully arranged verse that smoothly transitions into a melancholic chorus. The intensity rises to another level when vocalist Dmytro Kozhukhar switches from soothing clean vocals to aggressive shouts. The song is now available on all streaming services worldwide.
Together with an accompanying official music video, “LIES” marks the second output of SPACE OF VARIATIONS in 2024, as the band has released the furiously brutal “TRIBE” earlier this year. Both songs give a feeling of what fans can expect from the gut-wrenching outfit in the near future, as well as currently live on stage. Kicking off earlier this month in Budapest, SPACE OF VARIATIONS are currently touring Europe, smashing stages in various cities.

“We don’t usually dive into love songs in our band, but this one’s different. We decided to speak these feelings out loud. It’s about intense emotions on the edge of addiction. We’ve all known this feeling, one way or another. Our hearts have been broken countless times, but it’s still better than feeling nothing at all, lying in the grave. So enjoy. Everything shall pass away.”
SPACE OF VARIATIONS invaded the underground metalcore scene leaving a lasting impression that makes fans instantly hungry for more. Their unique, powerful songwriting skills exceed all expectations, fearlessly merging different genres while captivating with their futuristic style. The unpredictable and emotive atmosphere of their current album, IMAGO (2022), reflects SPACE OF VARIATIONS’ attitude: always on a roll at maximum speed, unapologetically crashing the scene. This band, though rather new, has already released two full length albums, won the title of Ukraine’s best metal band twice and been on tour with modern metal giants Jinjer.
