The Diamond ring is an upbeat, lively, traditional track which takes a poem from the Wilfred Ireland Childe Collection combined with the music written by Donald Shaw. Once again this track was recorded completely LIVE in the studio with a stellar band featuring Bill Shanley, Enda Dempsey, James Blennerhassett and Robbie Casserly. This track features the legendary Máirtín O’Connor on button accordion where he really shows his skill, diversity and virtuosity throughout the track.
