The Sunday Independent’s Rock Against Homelessness in aid of Focus Ireland celebrates ten years of amazing gigs and over €450,000 raised. One of the Irish artists of the year Damien Dempsey will headline the 10th anniversary of Rock Against Homelessness in aid of Focus Ireland on Fri. 7th February in 3Olympia, Dublin.
Focus Ireland reports that sadly the homelessness crisis has deepened again in the last year: a record total of just under 15,000 people are now homeless and shockingly this includes over 4,645 children. These figures demonstrate that we need events like Rock Against Homelessness now more than ever.
Last night, Dublin’s Hard Rock Café was buzzing with energy as a packed crowd gathered for the launch of Rock Against Homelessness 2025. The highly wonderful event, which raises crucial funds for Focus Ireland, brought together a mix of musicians, cultural figures, and supporters to kick off the countdown to next month’s charity gig at the 3Olympia Theatre.
The atmosphere was lively and social from the moment guests arrived. Conversations flowed freely as artists and attendees mingled, all united by a shared cause—tackling homelessness in Ireland. The Hard Rock Café, set the perfect stage for the occasion. The venues hosting skills were exceptional and all of the staff I spoke with on the night were very welcoming.
Live music was at the heart of the evening, giving a sneak peek for what promises to be an incredible night at the 3Olympia next month. A variety of performers took the stage, representing different musical styles, reinforcing the diverse and inclusive spirit of the cause.
What’s Next: The Rock Against Homelessness Gig
With the official launch now behind us, all eyes turn to the Rock Against Homelessness 2025 concert, set to take place at the 3Olympia Theatre on February 7th. This year’s event will be headlined by Damien Dempsey with a stellar lineup of acts coming together to raise awareness and funds for Focus Ireland.
