The Offspring’s Supercharged Worldwide Tour ’25 made a high-voltage stop at Dublin’s 3Arena this week, delivering an evening that balanced nostalgia with enduring punk energy. Supported by fellow pop-punk stalwarts Simple Plan, the concert showcased two bands who, despite their decades in the industry, continue to connect with audiences through sharp musicianship and boundless enthusiasm.

Simple Plan opened the night with a brisk 14 song set that reminded the audience why they have remained a cornerstone of early 2000s pop punk. Songs such as ”Shut Up!” / ”Your Love Is a Lie” and ”Summer Paradise” drew singalongs from the largely multigenerational crowd. The band’s stage presence was animated and playful, highlighted by the lighthearted chaos of What’s New, Scooby Doo?, during which several costumed “Scooby Doos” darted around the stage, eliciting laughter and cheers. The inflatable beach balls tossed into the crowd during ”Summer Paradise” further reinforced the band’s trademark sense of fun, transforming the arena into a buoyant sea of color and motion. While the set leaned heavily on fan favorites, Simple Plan’s execution was tight, and their interaction with the audience demonstrated an easy command of the large venue.

Following a brief intermission, The Offspring took to the stage with the unmistakable riff of ”Come Out and Play”, instantly igniting the crowd. Dexter Holland’s vocals retained their trademark bite, and Noodles’ guitar work delivered both precision and flair. The band’s 21 song set covered an impressive span of their discography, including ”Staring at the Sun”, ”Make It All Right”, and ”Genocide”, all rendered with the velocity and edge characteristic of their skate-punk roots.

Midway through the set, The Offspring surprised the audience with a four-song sequence of covers, beginning with a blistering rendition of Black Sabbath’s ”Paranoid” and concluding with an energetic take on the Ramones’ ”I Wanna Be Sedated”. The segment served both as a tribute to punk and metal forebears and as a showcase of the band’s versatility.

The closing stretch of the night leaned heavily on their biggest hits. ”Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)” turned the arena into a mass chorus, while ”The Kids Aren’t Alright” provided a powerful finale, its familiar refrain echoing long after the lights dimmed.

Overall, The Offspring’s Dublin performance reaffirmed their standing as one of punk rock’s most enduring live acts, energetic, selfaware, and still capable of delivering a concert that feels both fiercely authentic and expertly crafted.
