On August 16th, Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre in Kilkenny came alive with the rousing energy of The Highstool Prophets, supported by the talented Ross D. From the first note to the last, the night was an unforgettable celebration of trad and folk music, filled with toe-tapping anthems and heartfelt ballads that had the crowd dancing in their seats.
The atmosphere was electric like a giant lock-in session under the stars, capturing the spirit of a lively Irish country pub. The band’s mix of traditional favourites, clever originals, and good old-fashioned craic kept spirits high and smiles wide.
If you’re a fan of trad with a twist, and you’re up for a night of pure musical joy, The Highstool Prophets are not to be missed.
