Day two of Greenfields Festival 2025 in Athy wrapped up the weekend with sunshine, dancing, and a stellar lineup that had something for everyone.
Dan McCabe kicked things off with a packed tent early in the day. His raw talent and infectious ballads had the crowd captivated. It was great to see the tent full even early on in the day.

We then made our way over to the River Stage to catch Olivia Douglas. She brought her vibrant energy to the crowd. With the sun shining, festival-goers danced and soaked up the lively atmosphere. It was a really chill atmosphere and perfect for a sunny afternoon.
We then moved to The Heineken Stage where Miss Cartel, also known as Shanice Griffin played a set. Returning after last year’s guest performance with NewEra, she delivered a brilliant set that had her young fans buzzing. Miss Cartel was in great spirits and was clearly enjoying every moment on that stage.

Back over at the River Stages, Michael English drew a big crowd as was expected. His massive truck adorned with his face was parked next to the stage all day. He drew a diverse crowd of all ages. His performance had the audience jiving and waltzing, the love for Irish country music in this town is unmatched.

We then caught some Mundy on the Greenfields Stage and he always delivers. The tent was full, he was in full swing and everyone was singing. What a time. He was enjoying himself so much he actually lost track of time and although he wanted to play track “Mexico” he had to skip it for fan favourite “Galway Girl”. He also played July even though he admitted it’s a little too early for it yet. He was the perfect act to get the crowd going for The Stunning.

When The Stunning took to the Greenfields Stage they spent a lot of time connecting with the crowd. They spoke about performances in this town as far back as 1991. Despite joking about being less known to the under-40 crowd, they played to a full tent, proving their music still reaches many. Fans can look forward to their upcoming Irish tour dates, including shows in Dunmore East, Galway, Dublin, and Limerick later this year. If you can, don’t miss these guys. They are still great and deserve to headline shows and festivals.

Overall, the two days were a great success for organizers and for Athy. The festival created a lot of special moments for many and definitely concluded on a high note, with sunny skies and a vibrant atmosphere. Here’s to another fantastic Greenfields Festival…roll on 2026!
