If you’re into gritty, emotionally raw rock with a post-punk pulse, you’ll probably want to give “Chance” a spin. Italian artist Think teams up with Irish alt-rocker pMad on this one, and together they’ve cooked up a track that hits hard.
“Chance” kicks off with heavy guitar riffs and crunchy drums that immediately let you know this isn’t going to be a soft, breezy listen. There’s a controlled sort of chaos to it, distorted vocals blend into a soundscape that feels big but not overwhelming. Think grunge with a modern twist, like it’s been dragged through some deep introspection before landing in your ears.
Lyrically, the track leans into themes of finality, reflection, and grabbing at those fleeting moments life throws at you. Lines like “Just one more chance, to live, to see / One last fire, before I’m free” feel like they’re ripped straight from the edge, equal parts desperation and defiance. There’s a repeated sense of urgency in “One last chance” that makes the song feel like a last stand or a final breath before the curtain drops.
The structure has a nice touch, too. There’s a slowdown in the middle where the guitar steps into the spotlight, giving the track a bit of breathing room before the drums come crashing back in. It’s that kind of shift that keeps it from feeling too one-note. There’s heart here, lots of it. It’s a track that wears its emotions on its sleeve, with just enough grit and distortion to make you lean in.
Overall, “Chance” is a solid effort from a collaboration that makes sense. You can hear both artists’ strengths, and they complement each other nicely. If you’re in the mood for something a little loud, honest, and a bit rough around the edges, this one’s worth your time.
‘Chance’ comes in with a nice 7 out of 10
