pMad – has just released the brand new album ‘1 + 1 = -1’ with lead single ‘Blood’

pMad is the Post-Punk, Gothic Indie Rock solo project of Irish artist Paul Dillon, hailing from Portumna,Co. Galway. Inspired by acts such as The The, The Cure, Killing Joke, Echo & the Bunnymen, Rammstein, and Depeche Mode, pMad forges a dark, cinematic sound that flows between post-punk, darkwave, industrial rock, and metal-leaning intensity.

Created in 2021 during the silence and uncertainty of theCovid era, pMad quickly evolved from anintrospective recording project into a globally recognised independent force. The project’s singles havetopped indie charts across multiple countries, receiving airplay on hundreds of radio stations and earningpraise for their emotional weight, atmospheric depth, and uncompromising identity.

Following the debut albumWho Why Where What(2022) and the acclaimed follow-upI in Power(2023),pMad returns in2026with the bold, concept-driven album1 + 1 =-1. Built around the idea that“you shouldbelieve none of what you see and very little of what you hear—unless you experience it yourself,”the albumconfronts distorted truths, internal conflict, global instability, and the personal battles we hide behind masks.

The lead single“Blood”signals a darker, heavier, and more urgent evolution in the pMad sound—anexplosive blend of post-punk pulse and metal-infused aggression. The record features standout tracks suchas “Feed,” “NewGod,” “Silent,” “NineFortyFive,” “Strangelove,” and the haunting “Salem,” along with theatmospheric bonus track “Circle” on CD/vinyl.

Lyrically, pMad explores survival, trauma, hope, and the weight of being human, while also confrontingwider issues such as war, climate collapse, and the fractures within modern society. Critics have describedpMad’s work as“tribal, intense, thought-provoking, and immersive,”with a sound that channels rawvulnerability through dark, gripping production.

As pMad continues to push the boundaries of post-punk and alternative rock, the project remains committedto authenticity—creating music that challenges, questions, and connects. With1 + 1 =-1, pMad enters anew chapter: heavier, braver, and more vital than ever.
