Morrissey – announced to play 3Arena, Dublin Saturday 31st May 2025

Off the back of his sold out 2024 North American tour and highly acclaimed sold out New Years shows in Los Angeles, it was announced today that Morrissey will play an exclusive performance at Dublin’s 3Arena on Saturday 31^st May. This will be Morrissey’s sole appearance in Ireland in 2025

Morrissey’s influence and music legacy is irrefutable. Widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in British pop as well as one of the greatest lyricists of his generation, Morrissey has thirteen solo studio albums, a string of No.1 records, and an Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to British music. Morrissey has recently received a 2024 Social Vanguard Award in recognition for his ‘outstanding service and dedication to Animals Rights’.

As lead singer of The Smiths, he marked forever the history of music with only four albums. As a soloist, he has consolidated a sound that still reverberates today making him one of the most acclaimed voices of the last four decades. When the debut single from The Smiths, “Hand In Glove,” first emerged, the musical landscape was forever changed and launched a rich catalog of songs that includes anthems such as “This Charming Man,” “How Soon Is Now?,” “There Is A Light That Never Goes Out,” “Suedehead,” “Everyday Is Like Sunday,” “Irish Blood, English Heart,” “First of the Gang to Die,” and many many more.

The special guest for this date will be Brigitte Calls Me Baby.

The music of Brigitte Calls Me Baby is equal parts elegant time warp and up-close exploration of our modern-day neuroses. The Chicago-based band ingeniously spans genres and eras, merging the lavish romanticism of mid-century pop with the frenetic energy and spiky intensity of early-millennium indie-rock. Centered on Leavins’ hypnotically crooning vocal work, the result is a rare convergence of sophistication and style and unabashed sincerity.

As shown on their debut EP This House Is Made Of Corners – a five-song project made with nine-time Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb – Brigitte Calls Me Baby possess a singular musicality informed by Leavins’ eclectic upbringing. Originally from the Southeast Texas town of Port Arthur, he grew up listening to Roy Orbison records at his grandparents’ house next door, while his parents played him new-wave bands like The Cars and his friends turned him onto Radiohead and The Strokes. At age 13, Leavins took up guitar and began writing songs of his own, quickly discovering his distinct vocal style. “At first I didn’t like the way I sang and couldn’t really do anything about it, but as I got older I started to appreciate it more,” he reveals.

Newly signed to ATO Records after a much-buzzed-about set at SXSW 2023, with their full-length debut due out in 2024, Brigitte Calls Me Baby remain intent on striking a balance between refined musicianship and absolute devotion to emotional truth.
