As part of this year’s Waterford Harvest Festival, Mick Flannery played a sold-out show at Christ Church Cathedral last night. The night followed a full day of buzzing streets packed with food demos, talks, and live music across the city. By the time doors opened, the anticipation was sky high, and it was clear why tickets had been snapped up long in advance.
Support on the night came from Sarah Keane, who’d already won over crowds earlier with her daytime set on Broad Street. Inside the cathedral, her voice set the tone beautifully, warming up an already excited crowd before Mick took the stage. With the stunning backdrop of Christ Church Cathedral framing the evening, the whole thing felt like an amazing experience.
The lucky audience were completely captivated. Mick delivered a set that matched the venue’s atmosphere perfectly, and the crowd loved every second of it. It was one of those moments where the setting, the artist, and the energy of the night just clicked. The Waterford Harvest Festival rolls on today and tomorrow and this show will definitely be remembered as one of its highlights.
