Manic Street Preachers – have announced a headline show at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre

Following the release of their 15th studio album last year ‘Critical Thinking’, legendary Welsh Rock group Manic Street Preachers have announced a sole headline show at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre for Thursday, 22nd October 2026.

Manic Street Preachers — one of the most influential and iconic rock bands to emerge from Wales — have released 15 hugely successful studio albums and headlined major festivals including Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, T in the Park and V Festival. They have won eleven NME Awards (including Godlike Genius), eight Q Awards, Mojo’s Maverick Artist award, two Ivor Novellos and four BRIT Awards, and have also been nominated for the Mercury Prize and the MTV Europe Music Awards.

Since their 1992 debut Generation Terrorists, Manic Street Preachers have established themselves as a truly unique musical voice, making records that combine classic rock riffs with the attitude of pop and punk, and lyrics that stand head and shoulders above their contemporaries. While many aspects of their music have evolved and bloomed over the years, the classic Manics sound remains a defining thread that runs through every song.

Across more than three and a half decades of touring Manic Street Preachers have built a devoted global following. The band’s live shows have become extraordinary communal experiences for both die-hard fans and newcomers alike. Early classics such as “You Love Us” and “Motorcycle Emptiness” sit comfortably alongside huge chart hits including the No. 1 single “If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next” and the peerless “A Design for Life”, as well as new songs such as “Decline & Fall” and “Hiding in Plain Sight”, both taken from 2025’s hugely acclaimed album Critical Thinking.

In recent years, Manic Street Preachers have played sold-out tours across the US, the Far East and the UK, including dates with Suede.

*Manic Street Preachers’ show at 3Olympia Theatre, Dublin on October 22nd is a standalone headline performance and is not connected to the band’s upcoming co-headline UK tour dates with Suede.
