English singer-songwriter James Arthur returned to Ireland on 1 February 2026 for a date on his Pisces tour, delivering a powerful and tightly produced performance to a sold-out seated crowd of 7,500 fans at Dublin’s 3Arena. The atmosphere inside the venue was electric long before showtime, with anticipation building as the stage sat with a striking circular screen that dominated the centre of the setup.
When the time came, the screen slowly rose from the stage floor, revealing Arthur and his band. The dramatic reveal sent the arena into an immediate roar and the front row of seats left the places to stand at the front barrier, setting the tone for a night that balanced spectacle with emotional connection. Opening with “Water” Arthur established a commanding presence, his distinctive, gravelled vocals cutting cleanly through the arena.
The setlist leaned heavily into variety and pacing. Early in the show, Arthur launched into a seamless medley of “Sermon / Gucci / Ready or Not” one of three medleys featured across the 16 song set. These medleys allowed him to move fluidly between moods and eras of his catalogue while maintaining momentum and crowd engagement.
Fan favourites were well represented throughout the night, with standout performances of “Empty Space” / “Train Wreck” / “Lasting Lover” and “Rewrite The Stars”
Arthur also paid homage to his roots with a cover of “Impossible” by Shontelle, the song that launched his career into the mainstream. The performance was met with a wave of nostalgia from the audience and served as a reminder of how far the artist has come while still honouring his beginnings.
Arthur was in strong form throughout the evening even though he thought the show might have needed to be postphoned due to voice difficulties and not feeling well. His interaction with fans felt natural rather than rehearsed, reinforcing the sense of intimacy despite the arena setting.
With James Arthur set to return to Dublin and Cork next June, this 3Arena performance stands as a strong indicator of what’s to come. If this show is anything to go by, Irish fans are undoubtedly in for a treat.
