Irish indie sensation Taylor D – releases explosive new single “Survive”, you can read our review here

Rapidly emerging Irish indie pop-rock artist Taylor D makes a striking statement with her new single “Survive,” a track that balances raw vulnerability with explosive, cathartic energy. Drawing clear inspiration from Yungblud’s emotionally charged “Zombie” and the sharp-edged angst of Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good For You,” and hints of Avril Lavigne throughout, Taylor D blends confessional songwriting with a bold, modern rock-pop sound that feels both urgent and authentic.

The track opens with a restrained intensity, allowing Taylor D’s vocals to take center stage. There’s a palpable sense of emotional weight in her delivery, fragile yet defiant as she navigates themes of endurance, emotional burnout, and self-preservation. As the track builds, distorted guitars and punchy drums crash in, transforming introspection into a full-blown release. It’s this dynamic contrast that gives the song its power, echoing Yungblud’s ability to turn pain into protest while channeling Olivia Rodrigo’s knack for turning personal frustration into anthemic hooks.

“Survive” avoids melodrama, opting instead for honest, direct lines that resonate through their simplicity. Taylor D doesn’t just sing about getting through hardship she sounds like she’s fighting her way out in real time. The chorus hits hard and lingers long after the song ends, the kind of refrain built for both solitary late night listening and sweaty live singalongs.

Taylor D proves she’s an artist carving out her own space in the indie pop-rock landscape, armed with heart, grit, and a sound that refuses to be ignored.

”Survive” comes in with a score of 7 out of 10

Rating: 7 out of 10.

Speaking about her brand new single Taylor said:

“Survive is the most emotionally in-depth and personal song I’ve written, and I’m really
excited to share it with the world,”, “I’m hoping fans can find some connection in the lyrics and get lost in its melody.”
