Irish Garage/Punk Outfit A Lethal Black Ooze – Have Just Recently Released The New Single ‘Rosie’

Born during the first COVID lockdowns in 2020, Waterford band A Lethal Black Ooze have celebrated extensive critical acclaim since their ground-shaking launch.

Releasing their debut single ‘I Like to Feel Alright’ and self-titled EP in late ‘22 and ‘23 respectively, the band have continued to add the finest in crushed broken tunes to Ireland’s celebrated music scene. Sharing the stage with bands such as Melts, Autre Monde, Onion Boys, Chinese Football, Bad Hands and Nerves, the band’s stand-out energy also earned them a feature on IMRO’s ‘My City, My Soundtrack’ series.

Written during the pandemic, new single ‘Rosie’ is a fast, fuzzy and lighthearted commentary on life during one of the most peculiar periods for bands and artists, and the Irish nation, in recent history. An observation on vocalist Andy’s personal experience, the song explores the silly and the sincere with whimsy,  finding positivity in welcoming adopted cat Rosie into this abnormal chapter of his life.

A frenzied single that ups the pace from the band’s past garage and grunge-fueled releases, the single packs a mighty punch at one minute and twenty four seconds, though the band are no strangers to impactful tracks that fall under the two minute mark.

On the new single, vocalist Andy shares: “ ‘Rosie’ was written during a strange, tough time for a lot of us.  It represents finding unexpected comfort and joy in certain situations, and the importance of keeping positive where you can, to make it through”.
