Sarah Power is a Dublin-based composer, pianist, and producer whose work bridges contemporary classical and ambient electronica. Having spent much of her career behind the scenes as an assistant composer and session musician for artists like Stephanie Rainey and DJ Kormac – contributing to projects such as the BBC’s This Town and RTÉ’s The Boy That Never Was – she’s now stepping forward with In The Shadows (Part I), the first chapter of her debut solo EP.
For most of her life, Sarah has felt more comfortable in the background – supporting other artists, learning, and quietly shaping projects from the wings. But after a whirlwind year travelling to the U.S. with Stephanie Rainey for America’s Got Talent and being part of something so big, she came home wanting to make something of her own – something smaller, more personal, and rooted in where she’s from.
In The Shadows grew from that impulse. Blending felted piano, strings, and ambient textures, it reflects her journey from working quietly behind the scenes to finding her own creative voice – not by chasing the spotlight, but by stepping into it quietly, on her own terms.
