Irish alt-rock outfit Thumper – will release their rousing new single ‘Bad Mood’ tomorrow 26th

Dublin psych-pop powerhouse THUMPER return with blistering new riff fuelled single ‘Bad Mood‘ on Fri 26th Sept. The track is the third of a series of singles across 2025 leading to the release of their sophomore album which follows debut Choice Music Prize nominated Delusions of Grandeur which was an epic introduction to the band’s psych-drenched rumble which juxtaposes walls of distortion with saccharine melody and unabashed hooks.

Since 2021, Dublin noise-pop sextet THUMPER have gone from playing small hometown shows to touring Ireland, UK and Europe  extensively.

THUMPER have become regular features at Irish festivals, appearing at the likes of Electric Picnic, All Together Now, Indiependence, Other Voices, etc.

The band feel right at home on festival stages around the continent too, having made appearances at big name European festivals such as Mad Cool (ESP), Reading & Leeds (UK), Iceland Airwaves (IS), Haldern Pop (DE), Rock For People (CZ), Eurosonic (NL), Reeperbahn (DE), United Artists Prague (CZ), and many more.

In 2023, their debut album Delusions of Grandeur received extensive press support and landed them a nomination for ‘Irish Album of the Year’ at the RTÉ Choice Music Prize alongside Fontaines DC, Just Mustard, CMAT & Dermot Kennedy. THUMPER received UK and international airplay across BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 1, Radio X, KEXP, Kink, Kerrang! as well as Irish stations such as RTÉ Radio 1, 2FM, Today FM, Beat102103, and many more. They have also made noteworthy TV performances on RTÉ’s Tommy Tiernan Show and Other Voices and secured numerous Spotify editorial playlist placements and cover features.
