Gavin James – announced to play The Breakwater festival Wexford and joins an already fantastic five day lineup

Fresh from playing sold out headline shows on his UK, European and Australian tours, Gavin James completes the Live at the Breakwater concert series line-up on Saturday, 2nd August

This is the incredible Gavin James’ biggest ever Wexford headliner, and will delight all the family as under 14s go free (must be accompanied by an adult)! 
 

From busker and pub performer to selling more than 250,000 tickets (and counting) worldwide, Gavin James has built a community of passionate fans thanks to a live show that is as transporting as it is uplifting. 
 

His music has been streamed three billion times to date, and he holds diamond and platinum records in multiple countries. 
 

This June, Gavin James returns with a new single ‘Cherry Cola’, a precursor to a new album of original material that he is recording in a studio on a mountain outside his home city of Dublin.
 

Gavin James says: “I’m delighted to be returning with my band to Wexford to play the big top at Breakwater!”

Gavin James is the final headline act for Live at the Breakwater, Wexford’s flagship summer concert series which takes place under a magnificent big top tent and is located in the picturesque Ferrybank, Co. Wexford from 31st July – 9th August 2025
 

The series  features an impressive line-up including Amble [Sold Out], The WaterboysMoncrieffJax Jones (with special guests New Era and Chasing Abbey)and Gavin James promising an unforgettable event experience for all music lovers.

Set against the iconic waterfront of Wexford town, this year marks the second edition of the series and with two additional dates, it is bigger and better than ever. Amble are a rising Irish folk trio Robbie Cunningham, Oisín McCaffrey, and Ross McNerney. Known for their honest songwriting and emotive live shows. Since forming in 2022, they’ve built a loyal following through word-of-mouth, live gigs, and a growing catalogue of original music.
 

Friday, 1st August | The Waterboys

Over 14s only. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult over 18 – General admission €55 + booking fee

One of the best live bands in the world, The Waterboys are led by Mike Scott and return in 2025 with a powerhouse line-up and new album Life, Death And Dennis Hopper. Expect a dynamic show spanning their iconic catalogue, from The Whole Of The Moon to Fisherman’s Blues, alongside bold new material.

Saturday, 2nd August | Gavin James

Winner of the RTÉ Choice Music Prize for ‘Warm’, Moncrieff brings his high-energy, emotionally charged show to Wexford. Known for chart-topping hits like ‘Love Somebody’, he blends powerful vocals, explosive choruses and raw soul in every performance.

Friday, 8th August | Jax Jones with special guests NewEra & Chasing Abbey

Over 18s – I.D. required – General admission €45 + booking fee

Superstar DJ and hitmaker Jax Jones headlines with support from NewEra and Chasing Abbey. Expect massive dancefloor anthems, including ‘You Don’t Know Me’ and ‘I GotU’, alongside high-octane sets from NewEra’s house/tech-house duo and Chasing Abbey’s innovative ‘Trad House’ sound.


Saturday, 9th August | The Whistlin’ Donkeys

Over 18s – I.D. required – General admission €37 + booking fee

Tyrone folk-rock favourites The Whistlin’ Donkeys return after their 2024 sold-out show, bringing high energy, fan favourites like ‘Bees Wing’, ‘Dream Catch Me’ and ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’, and a vibrant live experience that has taken them across the world.
