Ten Hail Marys are an alternative rock band from Dublin. The four piece have played in many renowned venues across Ireland and the UK. Debuting with a sold out show in The Workmans Club last year, they went on to play sets at venues such as The Grand Social, Whelans, Sebright Arms (UK) and Pharmacia (Limerick) all to packed out rooms. With a notable and well documented set at Forbidden Fruit 2023 and a sold out MCD headliner in Academy 2. They have gone on to support well known indie bands in Ireland such as Basht on their Irish tour and an upcoming show with Corks Clifford’s in The Grand Social on 5th Novemeber. Recently, they have released a well received collaboration with locally renowned rapper Curtisy.
‘I Still See Your Face’ discusses what could be the loss of a loved one or a relationship that has come to an end – the band leave this decision up to the listener. With a pop style songwriting approach and an original arrangement to contrast this, ‘I Still See Your Face’ showcases the progression of THM’s soundscape. Before the last chorus, a bridge section displays new influences to their sound reminiscent of early 2000s American rap – a throbbing drum groove with a soaring distorted bass pattern to compliment. The song is book ended up with the main riff opening and closing the song just like personal motifs in a relationship.
