The wait is over! The Other Voices Dingle weekend is fast approaching, and with it comes an extraordinary mix of music, conversation, and creative exploration. Here’s your round-up of what to expect as Dingle becomes the epicentre of Irish arts and culture.

The final act for the iconic St. James’ Church lineup has just been announced: Maverick Sabre. A soulful addition to an already stellar roster, he will join previously announced artists including Laura Marling, Wunderhorse, Lisa O’Neill, Rachael Lavelle, Morgana, Been Stellar, Bashy, Fionn Regan, Jacob Alon, Nubya Garcia, and Landless. St. James’ Church performances will be live-streamed throughout Dingle and on the Other Voices YouTube channel. Keep an eye on the OV socials and down in Dingle for your chance to nab some golden tickets!

IMRO Other Room: Spotlight on Rising Stars

Catch stunning performances by rising talents Shiv, Curtisy, Ellie O’Neill, and our final act added to the lineup is David Murphy, celebrated for his pioneering work with the pedal steel guitar. Harnessing its mysterious sound, he has taken the instrument far beyond its roots in country music and folk, playing on everything from pop records to experimental soundtracks. His long-awaited album, Cuimhe Ghlinn: Explorations in Irish Music for Pedal Steel Guitar, continues his quest to bring the steel guitar sound to contemporary Ireland. These sets will be livestreamed across the weekend via the OV YouTube channel

Ireland’s Edge: Conversations That Matter 

The multidisciplinary strand Ireland’s Edge explores the theme Open Channels/Bealaigh Oscailte through compelling discussions on art, politics, culture, and technology. Don’t miss this enlightening series on Friday and Saturday. Tickets for Ireland’s Edge are still available here. 

Jim Carroll’s much-loved Banter series returns with a dynamic lineup of guests, including ornithologist and naturalist Seán Ronayne, actor Eileen Walsh, award-winning foreign correspondent Hannah McCarthy, journalist and author Fintan O’Toole, photographer Eimear Lynch, journalist and broadcaster Una Mullally and acclaimed choreographer Emma Martin. Held on Saturday and Sunday afternoons during the festival weekend, these intimate fireside chats will take place in Foxy John’s pub on Dingle’s Main Street. Entry to Banter will be on a first-come, first-served basis each day so make sure to get in nice and earlyNo additional ticket required.

Immerse yourself in the Irish language with Cogar, an eclectic micro-festival for the senses featuring music, art, light installations, and more. Curated by Áine Ní Chíobháin, and taking place Díseart Gardens across the weekend. This year’s lineup includes: Róisín Ní Chionnfhaolaidh, Mick Davis, Sarah Partington, The Say a Song Project, Doireann Ní Ghlacáin, Louise Cantillon, Síomha Ni Ruairc, Stefanie Berger, Breda Enright, Aisha Schärer, Naoise Soundscape, NZEN7, Louise Foxe, Huckleberry, Segotia, Deirdre McKenna, Gemma Goodey, Kultur.Konvoi, TapGig, Victoria Sholupata, Khrystyna Makukhfrom, Andrea Palandri, Róisín Ní Chéileachair, Eoin Ó Beaglaoich, Kyle Macaulay, & Diarmuid Farren. “This place is for you and open to all. An exciting new addition to Other Voices, Jameson Connects will take place across the weekend in the Dingle Bridge House. There’ll be headline acts in The Main Room such as Maverick Sabre, NewDad, KhakiKid and more, while The Family Room will play host to unplugged sets from familiar faces.

RTÉ 2FM Rising

RTÉ 2FM Rising returns to Dingle’s Adams Bar on Friday and Saturday nights. Presented by Beta Da Silva, the night opens and closes with RTÉ 2FM DJ Graham Smyth, with 2FM Rising stars Brad Heidi, Big Sleep, Saibh Skelly, Still Blue, Chubby Cat, and SICK LOVE all playing the event.

Sold Out: Powers Golden Hours

The much anticipated Powers Irish Whiskey’s iconic Golden Hours event series returns to the legendary Páidi Ó Sé’s pub on Sunday afternoon. Hosted by Doireann Ní Ghlacáin the event will showcase performances by Martin Hayes, DUG, Niamh Bury and CUAS. Please note that tickets for this event are sold out. Join the waiting list for a chance to experience these intimate gigs.

Bulmers is partnering with Other Voices at Geaney’s Yard

We’re excited to announce that Bulmers is partnering with Other Voices, Dingle, to bring an exciting bar experience to Geaney’s Yard. The tent space at the back of Geaney’s will be home to multiple gigs over the weekend. Keep an eye out for line-up details coming soon. 

Need to get around? Liston’s of Dingle will offer a discounted bus service running on Friday and Saturday nights, with routes covering Dingle Peninsula, making it a handy way to get back to your accommodation for those staying elsewhere on the peninsula. There will be three services throughout the night, with two buses heading west and one east. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis on the night itself (€5 cash only, please bring exact change!). Buses will leave on schedule, so make sure to arrive early to guarantee your seat.
