Chloe Qisha returns with her new single, ‘Surprise Surprise’, out now via Columbia (UK) / RCA (USA). ‘Surprise Surprise’ is Chloe’s third single to be released following her 2025 sophomore EP, Modern Romance
On ‘Surprise Surprise’, Chloe offers up a brooding pop-ballad – a track unlike the majority of her current catalogue, exploring new sounds and influences which in turn illustrate her diversity as an artist. Chloe tapped up Caroline Ailin (Dua Lipa, PinkPantheress, Caroline Polachek) and Ilya Salmanzadeh (Ariana Grande, Charli XCX) to write and produce the new single with her and the results don’t disappoint. The single is accompanied by a black & white stripped back official visualiser which sees Chloe in a classic pair of Levi’s jeans as she performs the emotive new single to camera that flickers into colour at the climatic finish. The visualiser will be out at 14:00 BST today.
Speaking about ‘Surprise Surprise’, Chloe said:
“‘Surprise Surprise’ wants to be the 3 minutes of affirmation you’d recite to get yourself out of that toxic relationship, but instead she catches your self-sabotage out in real-time and will soundtrack your life …as you run back to them.
With this song, I wanted to get straight into it. No mess, no fuss.
Generally, I love a ‘sad happy’ song – but this one’s just sad. It’s definitely a different side to me that I think is important to share, and it touches upon a really interesting concept that I’ve been writing a lot about in this next project of mine – which is that ‘push’ and ‘pull’ between instinct and reason – I love to capture the rawest moments of a feeling in my songs, even if its an ugly one.”
Following a run of shows last summer, including supporting Coldplay at Wembley Stadium for three nights, Sabrina Carpenter’s British Summer Time, All Points East, Primavera, and Leeds Festival, Chloe Qisha embarked on her UK and EU tour in October 2025, which included a sold out show at London’s Village Underground. Earlier this year Chloe embarked on her first ever North American tour which saw her play to sold out rooms across New York, Montréal, Toronto, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
Chloe is now set to play a string of shows in the summer of 2026, starting with supporting Self Esteem at London’s newest venue, British Airways ARC, on Wednesday 17th June. From there, she will play multiple festivals including but not limited to Isle of Wight, Bristol Pride, Wilderness, Sonic Summer in Tokyo and Kyoto, Lowlands in Netherlands, Reading Festival, and Austin City Limits.
