New Jersey singer-songwriter Carsie Blanton performed a solo show in The Spirit Store, Dundalk on Sunday 20th April as part of her current Irish tour.
Her mix of folk and rock based songs, along with her extremely likeable personality, was a pleasure to watch.
She had the crowd interacting, laughing and even singing along almost immediately, and her stories and observations inbetween songs (about the songs themselves as well as larger world issues currently happening) were genuinely interesting, and also valid.
Weather she is singing about not being cool, working for the FBI or many of the other topics she writes songs about, they had that perfect mixture of being both catchy and funny, which is all too rare.
If she is playing anywhere near you on her tour, I’d highly recommend heading along.
