Buffalo Nichols has been on Irish shores for a number of dates. kicking off this new year with some fantastic blues and in the mans own words ”no I’m not depressed, I just like playing the blues!” and it was anything but depressing. The only thing that was, were the ones that chose to talk over Buffalo throughout his set causing some to ask them to stop even Buffalo himself had to make a comment about it.
(Why do people bother attending shows just to ruin it for everyone else, stay at the bar! or maybe dont go near it in the first place)
Anyway Buffalo opened his set solo for a number of tunes before being joined by two Irish friends to accompany him on drums and bass. Some of what was played was the likes of Cold Black Stare / The Fatalist Blues / Living Hell and many more.
Before Buffalo took to the stage it fall on Galway artist Seba Safe to warm up the packed room and that he did nicely with some tunes on relationships, love, loss and change. Mike has an album in the pipelines so keep an eye out for that.
