Ireland’s Ultimate Club DJ – Search Heats Up as DACOSTA Wins Red Bull Turn It Up Dublin

Opium Live turned into a battleground on Thursday night as four of Dublin’s sharpest DJs went head-to-head for a place in the Red Bull Turn It Up National Final in November. When the decks settled it was DJ DACOSTA who walked away with the win.

Red Bull Turn It Up is on the hunt for Ireland’s ultimate club DJ, and the Dublin qualifier did not disappoint. Shauna Dee, Fletch, DACOSTA and Kayog took to the decks with the crowd holding all the power – no judges, no shortcuts, just a packed room deciding who deserved to go through to the next stage.

And this wasn’t a night for pre-planned sets. Each DJ was hit with a fresh curveball round by round, forced to think on the fly as unpredictable themes were thrown their way, testing everything from track selection and creativity to how well they could read the room under pressure rather than simply play it safe.

The themes got wilder as the night went on, from Mashup Mayhem to TikTok Virals, before the final rounds raised the stakes with Freestyle, Dublin After Dark and the appropriately chaotic Dancefloor is Lava. By the time it came down to DACOSTA versus Fletch in the final battle, the crowd had made up its mind – DACOSTA takes Dublin.

Keeping the energy up all night was host Leah Hayden Cassidy, alongside DJ Onai, winner of the Red Bull Turn It Up Continental Final in Milan back in January 2026, hyping the DJs and the crowd between sets.

DACOSTA now heads to the Red Bull Turn It Up National Final on November 5th, where he’ll go head-to-head with the winners from Cork, Galway and Belfast to be crowned Ireland’s ultimate club DJ.

The search isn’t over yet, with qualifiers still to come in Cork, Galway and Belfast over the coming weeks, and tickets are on sale now.
