Derry “radical alt-pop” duo BEAUTY SLEEP have revealed their new single ‘You (You’re All I Wanted)‘ – the final single from their highly anticipated second album, The Whole Damn Cake (Out October 17th).
A euphoric cut of layered, dreamy alt-pop that typifies the band’s maximalist approach to the genre whilst retaining their lo-fi sensibilities, ‘You (You’re All I Wanted)’ features shared vocal duties from the duo and an indie-sleaze guitar hook so large and infectious that you could hang several sequined jackets on it.
Commenting on the song, the band’s Cheylene Murphy says: “The song is about failing upwards. A bit of a play on the idea that a past version of you would be proud of where you are, so looking ahead to a mythical future version of yourself that has the life you dreamed of, and trying to take steps to get closer to meeting them.”
Alongside the single news, the two piece are also delighted to announce a run of November 2025 UK and Ireland headline dates, with tickets on sale now, including an album release show on 20th November @ Belfast Empire (tickets HERE)
