Australian pop punk singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mitch Volcan has released his debut solo single ‘Do It Again’.
Mitch has laid down all the guitars, drums, bass, vocals and lyrics of the propulsive emotive punk track which has been brought together by producer Alex Copp (As December Falls, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes) and mastered by Grant Berry (Boston Manor, Stand Atlantic, Deaf Havana).
Speaking about the launch of his new era Mitch says, “‘Do It Again” is the start of a new chapter for me. It’s my first solo track and its authentic to who I am, shaped by where I’ve been, and a glimpse of where I’m going.
The song is about meeting someone and feeling that instant, almost crazy connection where everything moves way too fast, but in the moment, you don’t care where it ends up.”
Mitch Volcan rose to prominence as frontman of The Hype, formerly 3REE, who since emerging in 2020 where quick to develop around the world with singles producing multi-million streams. This led to tour dates across the US with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, tastemaker backing from the likes of Kerrang, Rock Sound and more, as well as co-signs from Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz and Spencer Smith of Panic! At The Disco.
Where his previous projects weaved their rock through electronics, trap and more, Mitch Volcan now steps out solo and takes his sound back to his rawer roots and pop punk influences.
