Nearly two years to the date (well three days off) and the fantastic Aurora was back in Dublin and this time it was on the hottest day so far this summer in Dublin and too kick off this years equally fantastic Trinity Summer Series which boasts a great line up as always and held at Trinity College.
Opening duties fall on the shoulders of Jack Kane, playing mostly originals with the odd cover thrown in for good measure and he warmed up the crowd (not that we needed it) nicely and his set was well suited for the warm summer evening at Trinity.
So you could feel the anticipation building as people waited for Norwegian singer Aurora Aksnes aka Aurora to hit the stage and with a video intro she did and if Jack Kane’s set was suited for the summer evening well hers was even more as her electropop and ethereal soundscapes drifted out over the crowd and took all there on a fairy pop journey
As always Aurora was her happy and joyous self gliding around the stage at times like she was floating on air while singing tracks such as ”All Is Soft Inside’ / ”Queendom” / ”Giving into The Love’ and ”Cure For Me” to the delight of the crowd, many of whom wore the red Aurora face paint.
