Dallas alt-pop trio little image return with their latest track, NOVOCAINE – an exploration of numbing pain, avoidance, inner conflict, and the struggle with seeking temporary comfort. Written by the band and Andrew Goldstein, the song reflects the internal conflict and struggle between seeking external relief and facing one’s inner turmoil. The lyrics, “Doctor can you take this pain away? Or give me a shot of your novocaine?” – is delivered with a sense of desperation, vulnerability and with the desire to escape emotional pain.
“NOVOCAINE is a song that sheds light on the desire to numb your situation versus looking inward. The doctor is someone we look towards to ease our pain, so we don’t have to fight ourselves for rest. Musically, the tension of this song represents a big piece of our forthcoming music.”
