ALKY – delivers his second single of the 2026 the heartfelt ballad ‘Sorrow’

Following his sold-out Whelan’s show in April, ALKY delivers his second single of the 2026 in the form of a raw and heartfelt ballad ‘Sorrow’.

Blending introspective lyricism with dark, cinematic indie-rock influences, Sorrow is both deeply personal and quietly hopeful — a song about fear, vulnerability and the quiet shifts that can follow loss.

ALKY says “Sorrow was written while holding a vigil around my critically ill mum. The song feels part eulogy, part love song. Somewhere in the middle of all that grief, I found the person I’m now sharing my life with. Bittersweet in many ways.”

ALKY plays Kaleidoscope Festival on Friday 3rd July.

Sorrow was recorded and mixed at Gorilla Post Production in Dublin.
