Speaking about how “Grand Affair” came about, lead singer Rosanna said: “Towards the end of last year during the Christmas period, when family gatherings often bring questions about work and life. As an independent musician, I found herself thinking about how to explain my path compared with others’ achievements.” “That inspired the song, which reflects on how our twenties don’t always turn out the way you expected”.
Led by the exceptional, low-slung voice of Rosanna Harrington – a tone that nods towards smoky Stevie Nicks – WineMom have spent a breakthrough year in 2025 on major stages in Ireland and the UK. They’ve supported alt-rock legends Jane’s Addiction on the final night of a European tour (a sliding-doors moment, given it was the final night before their US tour which ended the band), and toured Ireland with Irish folk-rock forerunners KingfishR.
WineMom are Rosanna Harrington, Millie Molony, Reese Martin and Mathew Marshall. The fourpiece formed in the summer of 2023 by Harrington and bassist Millie Molony. Born out of a half-serious ambition to start an all-girl band – until drummer Reese Martin was too good to refuse as leader of the rhythm section. Lead guitarist Matthew Marshall, a Galway native with a jazz education and a fondness for Russian literature, completed the 50/50-split quartet.
