Bren Berry & The Beautiful Losers / Anderson – live gallery and review from Whelans Dublin 16.01.2026

Opening proceedings, Anderson delivered a masterclass in melodic craft. Bringing a refined, 60s-inflected pop sensibility to the Whelan’s stage, his performance was effortless and warm. There is a timeless quality to his delivery, that translates beautifully in a live setting. His set was polished and engaging, filled with shimmering hooks and intricate guitar work that warmed up the room perfectly for the main event.

The headline slot felt like a triumphant arrival for Bren Berry. After years of shaping the industry from behind the scenes and his tenure with Revelino, Berry has finally stepped into the spotlight as a solo artist. Berry took center stage to showcase his solo album, In Hope Our Stars Align.

Backed by the seven-piece “supergroup” The Beautiful Losers, the sound was massive. Berry’s performance was defined by heart-on-sleeve emotion and widescreen Americana textures. Tracks like “Bullet Proof” and “Turn On Your Radio” were anthemic, filling the venue with a sound that felt both nostalgic and vital. It was a celebration of Dublin indie royalty, executed with joy and musical precision.
