Irish indie-pop wife duo BFrank have released their debut single ‘Brigid’. It is a curious downtempo synth-laced song, where revealing vocal harmonies detail the beautiful, intimate, and powerful first moments of falling in love, all captured further in the queer Dirty Dancing inspired video also out now.
Regarding the single BFrank say, “‘Brigid’ is a track that we poured a lot of love into. It’s about those years when you first start to fall in love, how intense those feelings are and how much you think you’ll never find anything else like that feeling in the world. It’s an amalgamation of all the women we felt something for and how they forever changed us whether good or bad.”
BFrank is a powerful musical combination of two highly praised talents comprising indie artist, Susie Blue, and photographer, videographer & painter, Audrey Blue (previously Audrey Gillespie).
The two talents have merged after 10 years together to become one music driven entity, experimenting further in visual arts, video and harmonic sound through their combined vocals.
BFrank is the first ever musical project from Audrey, while her decorated career as an artist has seen her nominated and win many awards which have been exhibited worldwide. Susie Blue’s established music career has seen her championed by the likes of BBC 6 Music, Radio X, Alternative Press, DIVA Magazine, Hot Press, The Irish Times and more, while also performing high profile shows including Glastonbury and Electric Picnic festivals.
Both have used their solo platforms to deliver powerful and honest messaging reflecting the thoughts, feelings and challenges across mental health, politics, LGBTQIA+ rights and more. This is expanded further with the creation of BFrank as they launch with ‘Brigid’, a huge celebration of queerness and the universal feelings of love.
The first BFrank live show continued to cement their socio-political morals as they revealed the first glimpse of BFrank at Performers For Palestine in October for their Belfast hometown.
Their first single ‘Brigid’ is out now on all streaming platforms today (Nov 26th) and they have more music and live shows to follow as they set to further showcase their thought-provoking blend of music and art in 2026.
