Sprints – have shared the new single ‘Better’ + Their new album ‘All That Is Over’ will be out in September

SPRINTS share new single Better. This aurally visceral new song is taken from the band’s forthcoming new record, All That Is Over, out September 26th on Sub Pop for North America and City Slang for the rest of the world.

Better is a song that “sounds like a love song but definitely isn’t,” shares frontperson Karla Chubb. “It explores the idea not of liking someone better, but only liking them when they’re better. It’s tough, sad, but honest and frank. It’s an old demo that was brought back in conversation by Sam and backed by Zac. It’s inspired quite heavily by MBV, especially the Loveless album, and has touches of Big Dreams by Amyl and the Sniffers.”

On the accompanying video, director Niamh Bryson says –

When I first heard ‘Better’, I couldn’t not resonate with it. The heartbreak, the intimacy and vulnerability. The slower pace. It forces you to take a moment and to sit in your emotions, as you reflect on a time when someone made you experience them. I immediately wanted to take the feeling that it gave me and create a narrative that can echo the deeply personal and yet universal experience of heartbreak.
