Strap, the alias of Seán Burch, is a four-piece progressive rock band from Dublin, navigating the contemporary music landscape. The band formed in BIMM in 2022. Led by frontman and rhythm guitarist Sean Burch, the band features lead guitarist Alex Moore, drummer Matt Richards, and bassist Mateusz Owsianka. Over the years, Strap has developed a distinctive sound by exploring a variety of genres, including folk, metal and indie rock, the band now thrives as a progressive rock powerhouse. Drawing inspiration from Hozier, The Smile, Radiohead and The Strokes, this electric blend helps shape the band’s unique sound and lyrical depth. Strap seeks to captivate listeners with their innovative and modern musical approach.
Having graced stages at Ragaire, Happy Days Fest, Cultúr and various venues across Dublin city, Strap has captivated audiences with their dynamic performances.
With their new single ‘Mother Nature’ on the horizon, the band are now set to reach new heights and build more momentum in 2025 by reaching playlists, increased press and radio coverage and hopes for an opportunity to play to bigger audiences!

MOTHER NATURE
Strap are thrilled to announce the release of their second single ‘Mother Nature’ set to drop on April 16th 2025.
Following the success of their debut single ‘The Man Himself’ which captivated audiences upon its release back in February, the band continues to push creative boundaries with their latest offering.
‘Mother Nature’ explores the exhilarating dynamics of love intertwined with nature, delving into the concept of a nature kink.
The track celebrates the thrill of introducing a partner to the wild and untamed aspects of romance, with lyrics that resonate on multiple levels. The band’s unique perspective showcases their ability to weave personal experience into their music, inviting listeners to embrace nature’s beauty as a backdrop for intimate connections. The track was recorded and mixed in sonic studios smithfield by producer Janksy.
“This is one of our favorite songs to perform live,” said Burch. “We’ve been excited for a while to see what people think of this song”.
The band has big plans for the upcoming months, including playing live shows and aiming towards a bigger project.
