When Next We Meet Festival – live gallery and review featuring Morgana / Pillow Queens / Skinner / Zoe Basha / Join Me in The Pines / Villagers / Paddy Hanna, Raheen House Hotel Gardens Clonmel 07/08.06.2025

Back for another year and somehow managing to raise the bar yet again, When Next We Meet returned to Raheen House in Clonmel for a weekend of music, creativity, and seriously good vibes. With its effortlessly chilled atmosphere and carefully curated lineup, the 2025 edition proved once more that this is one of Ireland’s most charming boutique festivals.

Co-founders Kate and Eoin deserve massive credit for putting together an event that felt equal parts intimate and exciting. From the moment the gates opened on Saturday, the setting offered that perfect balance between laid-back and lively. The entire team behind the scenes were friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about giving attendees a memorable experience.

The lineup was a real treat across both days. Saturday’s highlights included energetic sets from Skinner, Morgana, and  Saturday headliners Pillow Queens, with support on the gorgeous Hidden Gems stage from the likes of Eve Whelan and Noah Hayes. On Sunday, Villagers closed the festival with a stunning headline performance. The packed When Next We Meet crowd is always a beautiful sight as the sun sets over the surrounding landscape. Before the brilliant headliners crowd favourites like Join Me In The Pines, Paddy Hanna, and Zoé Basha warmed the crowd up wonderfully. Special shoutout to the Hidden Gems lineup too on Sunday—MDR and The Wood of O were among the many acts that brought something fresh and intimate to the mix.

Beyond the music, the amenities and stalls added so much character to the weekend. From Róm’s Crêpes where we enjoyed tasty sweet and savoury crepes to My Street Food stall that had a queue throughout the whole day, there was something for everyone to enjoy. There were many other stalls to enjoy this year also. We picked up some wonderful prints from the Omra Jewels and Art stall and admired the talent of those over at Inksmith Tattoo. It really felt like there was a real sense of community and creativity on show everywhere. The merch table was well stocked, and the R.A.T.S exhibition, face painting by Franci were also nice touches.

What really helped tie the whole experience together was the layout and flow of the site. Everything felt easy to get to, whether it was catching a set on the Main Stage, dipping into the Hidden Gems corner, or grabbing a bite to eat. There was space to dance, space to chill, and plenty of shaded corners to chat or take in the atmosphere. It felt welcoming and safe, with that lovely sense that everyone was there for the same reason, to enjoy good music and good company.

All in all, it was another glowing success for When Next We Meet. It’s the kind of weekend that reminds you why festivals don’t always have to be massive to be meaningful. At its heart, this is what a festival should be; exciting, inviting, inclusive and filled with talent. We’re already looking forward to what Kate, Eoin, and the team have in store for next year.
