Ways Of Seeing / Bad Mothers Union – live gallery & review from Cleere’s Bar & Theatre Kilkenny 17.05.2025

Cork Alt-rock act Ways Of Seeing played their second night of five date Irish tour at Cleere’s Bar & Theatre in Kilkenny last night with three more dates to continue at the beginning of June and even if the turn out may have been low (to be expected in this glorious summer weather we are having) the guys and support act Bad Mother Union played their hearts out and both bands gave their all in what were two fantastic sets.

Ways Of Seeing in my opinion are the baby you would get if The Smiths and Yard Act had a baby, with James O’Donnell sounding close to Morrissey & James Smith at times.
The band ran through a set of songs containing tracks from their debut album ‘End Comes To Light’ (2022) and tracks from their upcoming second album ‘The Inheritance of Fear’ ( I think a September? release).
This was a show and night the some will regret missing as again in my opinion ‘The Inheritance of Fear’ is going to put these guys firmly on the Irish music scene map and they are ones to watch out for.

As mentioned Bad Mothers Union from Kilkenny opened the night and these guys are loud and right from the start a wall of sound mixed with grunge/noise rock/shoegaze/stoner rock just hits you in a very good way.
