One of Ireland’s most beloved songwriters and performers, Wallis Bird today releases ‘Hold Tight!’, the third single from her upcoming eighth studio album, I Can See Your House From Here, which will be released on Friday 5th June.
Following a run of singles widely played across Irish radio, with all being featured on the coveted RTÉ Radio 1 Recommends list, Wallis returns with ‘Hold Tight!’ – an anthem about resilience, solidarity and believing in change. The release follows her recent performance at TED 2026 in Vancouver, where Wallis was invited to perform by renowned UK singer-songwriter Jacob Collier – an experience she described as “a rebirth” that left her “creatively re-energised”.
‘Hold Tight!’ is about holding onto hope during difficult times, turning frustration and fear about the world into a call for unity and change. The song mixes political anger with optimism and is a reminder that a better future is still possible.
Reflecting on the track, Bird says: “Hold Tight – Tomorrow is gonna come!! I love this song as much as I love ‘To My Bones’ because it makes my heart POUND with hope!! I sing this to the strength of community – how much we need each other… and to all the ‘Little Lucy’s’ of this world – the powerful new generation!”
The single release follows last week’s announcement of Bird’s Irish Tour, which will take place in venues throughout Ireland this September and features support from Caoi deBarra. Tickets are on sale now from https://ffm.live/wallisbird
