Renowned for lyrical prowess, catchy hooks and visceral live performances, Lincoln post-punk/indie upstarts Televised Mind have already made an impression across the board since their recent inception in 2023.
Having previously accrued support from Tom Robinson’s BBC 6 Music Introducing Mixtape, Frank Skinner’s Absolute Rock radio show and Sirius XM’s Underground Garage from the legendary Rodney Bingenheimer to name but a few, the boys are poised to release their most snarling single yet, ‘Oxygen Thieves’, recorded by award winning MPG ‘Breakthrough Producer of the Year’ Tayte Nickols.
Oxygen Thieves explores themes of self-esteem, self-awareness and self-preservation. Touching on faith and the fate of humanity, it implores us all to take responsibility for our own actions and get our own affairs in order first and foremost, rather than trying to resolve the problems of others.
Ste Walker, mastermind of the post-punk/indie rock outfit comments on new single Oxygen Thieves:
Too often in life, I hear people complaining about things that they either can’t or won’t change. Oxygen Thieves is my way of saying, fix that broken record and stop talking at me.’
With recent headline shows at legendary Camden venues such as the Dublin Castle and Fiddler’s Elbow under their belts and lots of new music on the horizon, the Televised Mind are buckling up for an eventful 2024.
Upcoming gigs:

The Finsbury, London – Fri 17th May
