Tiger & Woods, the DJ/producer duo hailing from Italy, is the brainchild of Marco Passarani and Valerio Del Prete. Marco, a pivotal figure in the Italian electronic scene since 1993, has seamlessly bridged the local underground with the global stage, wearing multiple hats as a DJ, producer, and distributor. Notably, he served as a key studio tutor at the Redbull Music Academy for over 15 years. It was within this creative environment that the Tiger & Woods project took root, alongside Valerio Del Prete, a rising figure in Rome’s club scene, renowned for his fervor for funk, soul, and house music. Together, they crafted the distinct sound of Tiger & Woods: a harmonious fusion of vintage samples and hypnotic grooves, breathing new life into classic rhythms for contemporary dance floors worldwide.
Their journey has taken them across the globe, captivating audiences with electrifying live performances and DJ sets. Their impressive roster of appearances includes renowned festivals such as Coachella, Sonar, Primavera Sound, and Montreux Jazz Festival, as well as iconic venues like MoMa PS1, Panoramabar, and Fabric.
With a discography boasting three albums, numerous singles, and a plethora of remixes, Tiger & Woods have solidified their place in the electronic music landscape. Noteworthy among their recent works are remixes for Sebastien Tellier and Christine and the Queens.
“Gin Nation” stands as their anthem, featuring the iconic sample from Imagination’s “Music and Lights.”
The duo recently completed a five-year residency at Rinse FM, while also venturing into solo endeavors, releasing tracks on esteemed labels such as Numbers, AUS, Skylax Records, and Offen Music.
Looking ahead, Tiger & Woods embark on an exciting new chapter with their latest series of releases, kicking off with the acclaimed EPs “DJs on Film” (December 2023), “Playing For Extras” (February 2024). This series, akin to a curated album experience, continues to evolve with the latest 12″ release of “Dancing without Headphones”, which came out in May 2024.
