The Warning / Emily 7 – The Academy, Dublin 25.07.2024

One of the most highly anticipated rock gigs of the Irish summer went down last night as Mexican rock band from Monterrey The Warning where in town to play The Academy and the venue filled up very fast once doors opened to see the two sisters and friend blow the roof off the place.
Opening the night were indie rock band from Dublin Emily 7 who creating raw indie-fuelled songs with guitar hooks and sharp lyricism are ones to watch out for and judging by last night two things were obvious. One the band were happy and excited to be on The Academy stage and two they certainly won over a large number of new fans going by the crowds reaction to these guys set.
Then it was time to wait for the three girls to hit the stage and hit the stage they did, right from the get-go it was high octane, high energy all the way. For a three piece they sure as hell now how to make a noise (in a good way).
The crowd were treated to a full on heavy rock set of seventeen songs, see list below.
