Alt-rock /Shoegaze/Post-punk (call them what you will) act The Jesus and Mary Chain played Dublin’s 3Olympia as part of their Glasgow Eyes album tour and as expected it was dark and mood as the Reid brothers and band played through a fantastic twenty two song set covering their whole career, which included hits like (yes in my book they had hits) April Skies / Some Candy Talking / blues From A Gun / Just Like Honey and finishing out the night with a brilliant version of Reverence.
Opening act on the night were Aircooled who members consist of Justin Welch (Elastica, Piroshka, The Jesus & Mary Chain), Oliver Cherer, Riz Maslen (Neotropic) and Katharine Wallinger (The Wedding Present, Viv Albertine)
