The Darkness have just started their 20th anniversary tour for their Permission To Land album and the Dublin stop was night two of the tour. Right from the start Justin laid down the law of no phones to be used at the show, how did he do this you might ask? well midway through the first song he reached out and took a phone from a front row crowd member and hung on to it till the band finished the song, then he announced ”already I have had to confiscate a phone, this is to be the last, no more using of phones. its a gig so enjoy the moment” after this he handed the phone back to its owner and the show continued and what a show it was, well it was always going to be as they were in town to play the whole Permission to Land album in full. The was confetti, there were pyro-sparks and of-course hit after hit as the band played through their high energy show with Just doing his back flips and handstands. For the encore the band returned only dressed in dressing gowns and on the last song Justin was carried around the crowd on someone’s shoulders while he played guitar.
