You couldn’t mistake The Dare for anyone else. Fresh off a surge into the limelight – capped by a standout performance alongside Charli XCX at The Grammys – he’s an artist who is on an unstoppable rise. Stepping onto the stage in his signature suit and tie, the one-man powerhouse was here to make a statement.
The stage setup was a spectacle in itself – towering stacks of speakers and pulsating LED lights were placed to stun the front row in the best way possible. When the bass synth of ‘Open Up’ started, you could feel it rattle through your chest and hum in your bones. The crowd erupted and it was from that moment, the night belonged to The Dare.
He owned the stage – frequently leaning over the pit and reaching for the fans. It was electric, a give and take of raw energy that never let up. Every track bled seamlessly into the next, each one hitting harder than the last.
By the time he launched into ‘Girls’ for the finale, the room was in a frenzy. This was the anthem and the entire crowd screamed every lyric with him like they’d been waiting their whole lives for the moment. It was the perfect closer to a thrilling performance.
Everyone in the room knew they had witnessed something special on Tuesday night. The Dare has arrived and he’s not going anywhere but up.
