Tayne – announce debut album with latest single ‘Fear’ ft. Rolo Tomassi

Dublin-born, London-based Tayne announce their debut album LOVE, to be released 31st January, 2025, with the release of stadium anthem of the record ‘Fear’, a big and aggressive track, channeling a Nine Inch Nails / Boy Harsher vibe and featuring one of the most important UK heavy bands of their generation and fellow MNRK label mates, Rolo Tomassi.

“Sonically speaking, it’s a track that purely felt like we were serving the song,” explains Tayne frontman Matt Sutton“Fear is self-explanatory. It deals with being afraid, letting fear dominate our choices in life, being consumed by it or letting it win.”

Rolo Tomassi’s James Spence adds, “After my first time seeing and feeling the energy of Tayne’s live show I was immediately a fan. The band combines what I love about heavy and electronic music with visceral, heavy beat driven songs that are still laden with hooks. I was thrilled to be asked to be a part of this track.”

As part of the launch, Tayne will be offering 20 Tayne tattoos to fans to be tattooed by the band’s frontman, who’s a resident at Kings Cross’ acclaimed tattoo shop Sacred Gold, as well as Album Release party at Camden’s Home of Heavy Metal, The Black Heart, on Thursday, 6th February.

‘Fear’ is the final video in a trilogy leading the visual narrative throughout the music directed by Leif Johnson, a member of London based video collective NEWD.

Sutton adds, “Act 3 is simple and to the point, empowerment, acceptance and celebration. Fear is such a Big Question song, it pokes the beast but never offers a resolution.

“We just wanted people to embrace themselves ‘be free’ as Gaga says and be strong, powerful with no fucks given to anyone. Thematically I always thought this song could be interpreted as a negative one so I’m really glad the video delivers a more positive answer to the hard question of the track. In this case and very much in my dad’s case: ‘No, we won’t be consumed by Fear’.”

Tayne have been announced for 2000 Trees & ArcTanGent festivals alongside fellow countrymen Kneecap, Taking Back Sunday, Rolo Tomassi, The Melvins, Between The Buried And Me, The Fall of Troy & more
